Kitsune Udon is thick Japanese white noodles served with fried tofu. Enjoy while hot, this entree is superb. Bitting a mouthful, you get a succulent sweet burst of hot savory soup and the tender chewy Udon noodles. There are nuggets of scrambled egg too. This is a very satisfying big meal.

Without reading Japanese, you would have to recognize this item by its picture. The only descriptive English about the product says Oriental Noodles, just enough to pass U.S. Customs haha. The logo with the smiley face is Maruchan, albeit a bit different than its U.S. version. The trick to identification is by its color scheme: blue-red-white-black-yellow.

Suggested Cooking Directions
  1. Pull back lid just enough to take out soup packet and empty its content into bowl.
  2. Add boiling water up to the inside line - about 1 1/2 cup, close lid and let stand for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove lid, stir well and serve.

i love this ramen! i love the squishy spongyness of the fried tofu as it fills with soup and the noodles are so broad and big, its very filling and the aroma is very nice! i find it funny tough as the name is Kitsune witch can also mean “Fox” hahah >
