Kimchee Ramen
September 24th, 2005

Kimchee (also Kimchi) is a popular Korean pickled hot & spicy cabbage relish. Serving crispy homemade Kimchee to impress your guests is a popular tradition to Korean, with every household using its own favorite recipe.
This entree is medium hot for most people other than Korean. It is served with regular ramen instead of the thicker Korean noodle, which requires a more intense soup sauce. Just as well, I am not always in the mood to be scorched.
As prepared, you can see some bits of Kimchee on top and it would be great if it offered a bit more. This review has been updated and the rating went up a half notch. I used a little less water and it tasted hotter, which I liked.
Cooking Directions
- Open lid half-way, take powder packet and add content into cup. Add boiling water up to the inside line - about 1 1/2 cup.
- Close lid and let stand for 3 minutes, remove lid, stir and serve.

THis one was nice and spicy! Although it could use thicker noodles and more vegetables, it was delicious. I added shredded cabbage & onion to mine and it was just right. This one tasted best when served very hot! I would buy this again and recommend it to my friends.
