Kikkoman Egg Flower Soup Mix - Hot & Sour Flavor (3 servings per packet), require 1 fresh egg for the recipe.

In the time to boil 2 1/2 cups of water, you have an authentic Hot & Sour Egg Drop Soup! Its a vegetable chicken flavored egg drop soup thicken with potato starch and seasoned with a hot & sour recipe.

Prepared as per directions, the soup looked and tasted surprisingly good…though I recommend using only about 2 1/4 cups or less of water for a stronger flavor as served in most restaurants. It has a rich soy sauce taste, mildly sweet with a strong note of pepper and sourness. There is just a few slivers of the familiar crunchy black jelly mushroom too.

Suggested Cooking Directions
  1. Add contents of packages to ~2 1/2 cup of water.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Gradually add 1 well-beaten egg to the boiling soup, stirring gentlely in one direction.
  4. remove from heat and serve immediately.
